Nimet-i İslam was first printed with new letters in 1957. At that time, in order to meet an urgent need and to be more useful to the new generation who did not know the old Turkish letters, texts such as verses, hadiths and prayers in the book were written in new letters. Additionally, since we wanted to remain faithful to the original layout of the book, each chapter was given a separate page number. The work, which was partially simplified and presented to our lives of knowledge, received great interest from the readers beyond our expectations and its supply was sold out in a short time. Our publishing of this valuable work, which is the largest fiqh book written in Turkish in terms of both its breadth of content and its scientific research and investigation value, was appreciated by our devout and appreciative intellectuals. However, since they wanted to see the book even more perfect, they encouraged us and helped us spiritually in the preparation of the second edition of the work.

We didn't want to rush the second edition. Considering the importance of the book, we tried to prepare it with care and attention by authorized people and to minimize errors. This second edition you see was created at the end of such a work. We found it appropriate to make changes to the following issues and explain them to you.

    1) Since the first edition of Nimet-i İslam, published in old Turkish letters and by the late Hacı Zihni Efendi, was produced at different times and as separate books), each book was given an individual page number at that time. However, when all the chapters of the book are brought together in a single volume, it is necessary for the page numbers to be continuous, both for the integrity it will bring to the book and for the convenience it will provide to the reader.

    2) Writing the verses and hadith texts in new letters did not provide the expected convenience, on the contrary, it caused many spelling and semantic errors to occur. Considering the scientific and religious identity of the book, we found it more useful to write all the necessary texts in Islamic letters in this edition, to give them together with their translation in some places, and to be content with the translation alone, provided that the reference is given in some places. Thus, we believe that we follow a healthier path and serve the purpose.

    3) This edition was prepared based on the first main edition published by the late Hacı Zihni Efendi in his life. The words that are terminology have been left untouched and the rest has been partially simplified to suit today's language. We tried to do everything that would enable maximum benefit from the book. May God Almighty grant you success.
