Praise be to Allah, the Lord of all the worlds. Hz. We bless and greet Muhammad.

Ebü'l-Leys as-Semerkandî (rah) is one of the great scholars of Sunnah and is one of the imams of the Hanafi school. His name is Nasr b. Muhammad b. Ahmed b. He is İbrâhîm es-Semerkandî and his tag is Ebü'l-Leys. His nickname is Imam al-Hüdâ ve Fakîh.

He had high degrees in tafsir, hadith, kalam, sufism, ethics and other sciences. He passed away in 373/983 in the month of Cemâziyelâhir.

Ebü'l-Leys es-Semerkandî is the student of Abu Cafer Hinduwani. The succession of knowledge learning reaches to Imam Abu Yusuf through his teacher. Ebü'l-Leys es-Semerkandî has many valuable works written on various sciences. The most famous work is Tenbihü'l-Gâfilîn, the translation of which we presented. This book is about preaching and advice and consists of 94 chapters. It was translated into Turkish by Kâtip Çelebi in 1040.

This entire work describes the morality of Islam, and it is a perfect ethics book that contains verses and hadiths as well as guidance and wise words. The book starts with the subject of ihlâs. Later, the penalty in the grave includes many moral and legal issues such as repentance, the right of parents, visiting relatives, the right of neighbors, backbiting, arrogance, five daily prayers, respect for mosques, fear of Allah, and prayer in chapters.

Here, the work you have is a translation of one of the most valuable works of Ebü'l-Leys, Tenbîhü'l-Gâfilîn. While translating the work, we tried to use today's Turkish in the best way. Most of the translation mistakes made in translations and especially the wrong names of the companions and natural persons were given as accurately as possible in our translation.

In the translation of the book, Arslan b. It was verified by Yu-Suf Ali with the manuscript of Ramadan dated 1002 H. 761 dated Ahmed b. James b. We based on Ali's copy. In addition, we analyzed the hadith and asar-style news in the book and gave the sura and verse numbers of the verses. We did not include narrators other than Companions in the narration of the hadiths, and we observed the order of Kutub-i sitte. Thus, we tried to make the book available to you, our readers, in the best way possible.

We wish it to be beneficial for all our readers.
