    PRESENTATION

Praise be to Allah, the Lord of the worlds, and peace and blessings be upon the Messenger of Allah, his family, his friends and those who follow him with sincerity until the Day of Judgment.

Undoubtedly, the life, behavior and history of the Messenger of Allah and his companions are one of the strongest sources of the strength of belief and love of religion. Islamic societies and the murshids who conveyed the religion have always been inspired by this source and ignited the torch of faith in their hearts with the spark they took from this source. That torch can easily go out in the face of crazy winds and material storms, and when it goes out, this ummah loses its strength, influence and distinguished features. Then life shoulders its corpse.

This book contains the hand of those who believed in the invitation to Islam and believed in it with their hearts, and when they were called to Allah and His Messenger, they said, "O our Lord, we have heard a caller calling to faith saying, "Believe in your Lord," and we have believed. These are the real-life stories of those who put the hand of the Messenger on him, who persevered in the way of calling to Allah, who gave up their wealth and tribes and tolerated pain and hardship. The precise and clear knowledge of faith thrilled their hearts. This feeling invaded themselves and their brains. The manifestations of belief in the unseen, of love for Allah and the Messenger of Allah, of being gentle with believers and harsh on unbelievers appeared in them. They showed signs of preferring the hereafter to this world, and changing what is in the future to the present. They preferred guidance over profit. They preached with all their might. They brought the servants of Allah from the oppression, oppression and perversion of those who do not serve only Allah to the justice of Islam, from the narrowness of the world to the welfare of Islam. They despised the adornments of the world and their interests and placed in their hearts the longing to reach Paradise and the desire to meet Allah. They made an effort to spread Islam and its benefactors to the whole world by turning their eyes away.

They were scattered in the east-west, mountains, plains, deserts and swamps of the earth. For the sake of conveying Islam, they forgot tastes, left their comfort, and left their homeland. They willingly gave their lives and distributed their goods. Finally, religion dominated the world, hearts turned to Allah, and the wind of faith began to blow strong, fragrant and fertile. The state of tawhid, belief, worship and taqwa stood up and the market of paradise was opened. Hidayet spread throughout the world. People entered the religion of Allah in groups.

History books are filled with the life stories of these people. Islamic historians collected and recorded the news about them. Material innovation will always exist and will bring about changes in the lives of Muslims. For this reason, the help of these news to the inviters and reformers of Islam will always and increasingly continue. As a matter of fact, the invitees have always benefited from the companions in awakening the Muslims and filling their hearts with faith.

However, there came a time when Muslims did not need this philosophy of life, and they turned away from them and preferred to spread the news of ascetics and Sufis. Books and magazines were filled with their miracles. People were also interested in them. Preaching assemblies, lecture circles, book pages began to light up with them.
As we know, the great reformer and inviter Sheikh Muhammed, who understands the importance of telling the life and news of the Companions about the invitation to Islam, the value of this wealth tucked between the pages, its effect on hearts, giving importance to it, both in terms of reform and education, and who wrote the first work. He is İlyas el- Kandehlevi. This person spent a lot of time studying and giving lectures on the subject. I saw that he had a great interest in it. In particular, he gave extreme importance to the life and behavior of the Messenger of Allah and the news of the Companions. He would constantly tell his students and friends about them, read and explain them every night with importance and seriousness. He enjoyed reviving, disseminating and discussing these issues. The great muhaddis Sheikh Mohammed Zekeriya al-Kandehlevî is the nephew of this person and the owner of the book called "Evcezü'l-Mesaik ila Muvattai'l-Imam-i Malik". He also wrote a book called "Hikâyetü's-Sahâbe" on the news of the Companions in Urdu. Sheikh was very pleased with this work and recommended that those who deal with invitation and communiqué should read this book and see it as a textbook. For this reason, this book has been the most important of the books in the hands of the invitees and has received great acceptance in religious circles.

Sheikh Muhammed Yusuf became the heir of his father Muhammed İlyas in this regard. He took the weight of the invitation and the burden of the trust from him, and learned the pleasure of learning the life and behavior of the Companions from his father. When his father was alive, he read these stories and gave lectures on these subjects. After the death of his father, he began to study the books written about sirah, history and the lives of the Companions, with a difficult effort to preach. We do not know of anyone who has a broader view of the life of the Companions, more knowledgeable about their condition, more knowledgeable about them, who brings good evidence from them, learns good lessons from them, and has a greater say about them than he does. These historical stories are the secret of the power and impact of his speech, the source of its place in the hearts. When he spoke, he would lead a large crowd to die for God's sake. Troubles and difficulties would disappear in their eyes, and they would happily take the risk of enduring every trouble in the way of Allah.

In his time, preaching spread to Africa, America, Europe and the islands of the Indian Ocean. At that time, there will be an event that will be read by those who go on a journey, to be taught as a lesson, to ignite the love of religion by enlightening hearts and minds, to set an example for their lives, to stimulate the love of spending everything in the way of Allah generously, to make them feel about travel, emigration and cooperation on earth. There was a need for a book that would make people do the best of deeds and adopt the best of morals. So much so that when they read this work, their souls will be overflowing as if they were flowing through the channels opened in front of the seas. Those who read this book, like those on the top of the mountains, will hear the fresh air and nice smell of this news, find themselves incomplete, despise their deeds, disregard their lives, and their determination will take action.

Sheikh Muhammed Yusuf's life was full of various occupations, his guests coming and going, visiting delegations and students and lectures. These are the things that keep people away from writing a work. However, he was able to write a work thanks to the power of success and help bestowed by Allah, his high dedication and perseverance. He carried out the work of teaching and the work of writing a book together. He even carried out the works of annotation with the power that Allah gave him. He wrote a commentary on Imam Tahavi's work called "Maani'l-Asar". He wrote a book of several volumes called "Emaniyü'l- Ahbâr" and "Hayati!'s-Sahâbe" in four volumes. In this work, he collected the news that were scattered in the books of sirah, history and tabat. He started this work with the news of the Messenger of Allah. After that, he passed on to the stories of the Companions.
This book collects the life and behavior of the Companions, their stories and stories. It is very rare to have all this in one book. Because he compiled them from many hadith, history and tabah books. So this book is a living example of that time. He revealed the life, characteristics, morals and memories of the Companions. The research in this book has been careful, the narrations abound, and the anecdotes satisfactory and effective. This effect on him is not found in any book describing war stories. The book has such a beautiful writing style that the reader finds himself in the environment of faith and preaching, heroism and virtue, sincerity and piety.

It is a fact that this work is a piece of the heart of the author. The effect of the book is related to the author's strength of faith, being affected and emotional, and living it in substance and meaning. After determining this fact, I can easily say that this book is very effective and interesting. Because the author wrote the work inspired by his own faith and heroism, the pleasure and love he felt. When the author wrote this work, he mixed the love of the Companions into his flesh and blood. This love engulfed his consciousness and self. He is still constantly living with their love and benefiting from their resources. May God prolong his life. (After this introduction was written, the author passed away on April 2, 1985.)

There is no need for me to praise a book whose author has such sincerity and Al-lah's help in writing the work.

Because he is one of the best in this century. Moreover, it is really difficult to find a similar one in terms of invitation and notification. Maybe after a long time someone like him will come. He was igniting that religious movement, especially the largest and most powerful one, the one with the greatest influence on the souls. However, he wanted to honor and glorify me by giving me the opportunity to write this introduction. I also wished that I had my share in this sublime work of his. So I wrote these words with which I wished to be close to Allah. May Allah accept this book and make his servants benefit from it.
