Kimyâ-i Saâdet is a summary of Huccetü'l-Islam Abu Hamid Mohammed al-Ghazali, one of the most important works of Ihyâu Ulûmi'd-Dîn(505/1111). For centuries, it has taken its place in the houses as a bedside book in oriental lands and Anatolia and has been one of the most read books in Ottoman society.

Kimyâ-i Saâdet talks about faith,deeds and morality, as in Ihyâ. Its main subjects are as follows: Self-knowledge, the truth of the heart, the bad and good qualities in man, ingenullah, the human being, the reality of the world, the afterlife, the torment of the graves, the nature of the soul, the enumeration of the people, the apocalypse, the resurrection, the sharia...
