When the number of those who give advice decreases, when people turn into thorny trees that do not give fruit, when the towns are deprived of the knowledge that life will last only with them, or when they approach this point; So we tried to look like them, even though we were not from the "few people" mentioned there when we heared the command of Almighty God, the sultan of Almighty God, who knew everything: "Shouldn't there have been people of comprehension and virtue in the generations before you that would forbid miserlyness and disorder in the world, thus protecting them from being destroyed? There are few of them we have saved because of what they did. But the wrongdoers followed their prosperity. Indeed, they were the guilty." (Hûd, 116)
