Prof. Dr. Nihat Hatipoğlu was born in Diyarbakır in 1955. After completing elementary school in Diyarbakır, Siirt and Malatya, Hatipoğlu graduated from Uşak Imam-Hatip High School and Uşak High School in 1975 and completed Ankara University Faculty of Theology in 1981. He became a doctor, associate professor in 2000 and professor in 2012 with his work titled “The Role of Hadiths in the Understanding of the Noble Qur'an" in the Hadith Department at the same faculty.
Hatipoglu, who studied Arabic in Egypt in 1985-1987, served as the Director of Imam-Hatip, Qur'an Courses. Currently, he is a faculty member at Ankara Yildirim Beyazid University in the department of Hadith, and works as a board member at the Council of Higher Education.
Hatipoğlu's iftar and sahur programs, which have been preparing and presenting much-watched and beloved television and radio programs on various channels to date, have been repeatedly chosen first by the viewers. Currently, he continues his television programs on ATV and his articles in SABAH newspaper. Hatipoğlu, who has hundreds of CDs published; gives conferences at home and abroad, whose articles are published in Panel, Diyanet, Islamic Studies and similar journals, is married and has three children.
